Who we are

Zawjain is a wedding planning app based in the United Kingdom. For UK data protection law, we are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at support@zawjain.app.

If you use this website

There is no sign up form for couples on this website, and no account.

Like any website, our hosting provider handles technical details such as your IP address in order to deliver each page.

If you submit a business

We collect your business name, your name, email address, phone number, category, city, the areas you serve, and your website or Instagram if you give them. We use these to contact you about a listing and to verify your business.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you asked us to consider your business for a listing, and we need these details to do that.

Who sees it

Only our team. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing, and we do not pass vendor details to couples or couple details to vendors.

The information is stored on our behalf by our hosting and database provider.

How long we keep it

Business submissions: for as long as the listing is under consideration or live, and for 24 months after that.

Cookies

This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies. There is no analytics profiling of you as an individual, and no advertising tags from third parties.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to us using it, or ask us to restrict how we use it. Email support@zawjain.app and we will act within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top of the page. If the change is significant and you have submitted a business, we will email you.
